Mandya Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: Former CM Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy defeated Congress candidate Venkataramane Gowda in Mandya with a margin of over 2.86 lakh votes. Kumaraswamy polled 8,51,881 votes while Gowda secured 5,67,261 votes. Independent candidate Chandan Gowda trailed far behind in third place. Mandya is one of the key constituencies in the 28 Lok Sabha seats of Karnataka. Voting in Mandya took place during the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 26 and its results were declared on June 4. The constituency is a GENERAL seat and comprises eight Assembly segments - Malavalli, Maddur, Melukote, Mandya, Shrirangapattana, Nagamangala, Krishnarajpete and Krishnarajaganara.

IRS officer arrested in connection with woman's death in Noida

An Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer has been arrested by the Noida Police in connection with the death of a woman found at his apartment in Lotus Boulevard Society, Sector 100.
