4.7 magnitude earthquake strikes Nepal, no reported damage

An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck western Nepal on Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center (NEMRC). Supreme Court warns Telangana officials of jail over tree felling in Hyderabad's Kancha Gachibowli forest

The Supreme Court on Thursday said that the large-scale felling of trees next to the University of Hyderabad appeared to be "pre-planned" and warned the Telangana government to restore the area or face strict action, including possible jail time for officials. A bench of Chief Justice B R Gavai and Justice Augustine George Masih said the state must choose between restoring the forest or risking imprisonment for its officials. The court took exception to the timing of the deforestation, which occurred during a long weekend when the judiciary was unavailable. "Prima facie, it appears that it was all pre-planned," Chief Justice Gavai said. "Three days of holidays were coming, and you took advantage as the court would not be available," he noted.

Delhi: Air raid siren testing to be carried out at PWD building in ITO amid rising India-Pakistan tensions

Students who appeared in the 10th and 12th exams for the academic year 2024–25 can download their marksheets using their roll number, date of birth and other details on the login page. The CGBSE Higher Secondary Result 2025" or "CGBSE High School Result 2025 links have been activated on the official websites, cgbse.nic.in and results.cg.nic.in. Students can check their results by entering key information in the login fields. This year, CGBSE Class 10 exams were held from March 3 to 24, 2025, while the Class 12 exams took place from March 1 to 28, 2025.
