Yogi Adityanath, UP CM, takes metro ride from Nayaganj to Rawatpur station in Kanpur | Video

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday (April 20) took a metro ride from Nayaganj metro station to Rawatpur metro station in Kanpur. UP CM also visited Gorakhpur to inspect the Herbert Bandha four-lane Road project today. He emphasised that the new road will ease transportation and reduce traffic congestion.

'Possibility of resumption soon': MEA on Mansarovar Yatra, says 'will issue notice to public'

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday said that it will soon issue a notice for the public on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, adding that there is the possibility of resumption of the Yatra soon. If resumed for the public, the Mansarovar Yatra will be held after the COVID-19 outbreak. Earlier in January, both India and China agreed to resume the yatra and decided to restore direct flights.

Saturn's famous rings appear to have "disappeared" from view due to a rare planetary event. It was reported that this phenomenon occurred as the ringed giant aligned edge-on with Earth for the first time since 2009. At that moment, Earth was passing through Saturn's ring plane, creating the illusion that the rings had vanished. Industrial output growth eases to 6-month low of 2.9 pc in February

MK Stalin, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, urges PM Modi to withdraw Waqf Amendment Bill

Waqf Amendment Bill: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday (April 2) wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking withdrawal of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024. Stalin said the Constitution grants every citizen the right to follow their respective religion and it is the duty of the elected governments to uphold and protect this right. However, the proposed amendments to the Waqf Act, 1995 have not taken into consideration the constitutional protection given to minorities and are "bound to severely harm the interest of Muslim community." The chief minister sought the prime minister's personal intervention on this issue and underlined that the Tamil Nadu Assembly days ago passed a resolution to urge the Centre to withdraw the Bill.
